DULUTH - Northland dogs and cats whose food was damaged by floodwaters received a gift from Animal Allies Tuesday.
The non–profit was at the Salvation Army handing out free 5-pound bags of Science Diet cat and dog food.
It's being donated by the ASPCA and Hills Pet Nutrition.
So far Animal Allies has given away 150 bags.
"It's really exciting,” said Meggan Neve with Animal Allies. I mean it's something a lot of people you know with the flooding's and everything just kind of a big devastation.” “So it's been great to be able to help everybody in the area."
Animal Allies says they might distribute more food again depending on the need.
