DULUTH - 2014 will be bringing several huge construction projects to Duluth.
Chamber of Commerce president, David Ross said this means thousands of jobs and big revenue for the Northland.
Ross said, "We have five major projects that are about to start. All will break ground as soon as the frost leaves, and we can begin doing that. So together over $120 million worth of projects."
Ross said the projects will create hundreds of construction and full-time jobs.
Many of which he expects will be filled by graduates from UMD and Lake Superior College.
Ross also said the vacancy rate for apartments in Duluth is one percent and these new projects will create a good deal of new housing.
The projects are:
-The Duluth Corporate Tower
-The NorShor Theater restoration
-The Pier B project
-The Multi-Modal Transit Facility
-The Steve O'Neil Apartments
