DULUTH- The Duluth Police department asked residents to stay indoors today, to avoid icy road conditions.
Dozens of reports of accidents, came in over police scanners, as residents tried to make their way around town, Sunday morning.
Karen Weikel was visiting from Ohio and said, "It was mostly the sidewalks I found were really bad. Nobody cleans their sidewalks in Duluth, do they?"
Precious Scanlon said, the roads are pretty slippery out here. I've seen two cars collide actually on the highway, and I seen an accident in Gary on my way to work."
Valenti Cordero said, "there was a bus that was completely horizontal on third avenue. And it was about to take out like three or four cars. And then, from where I work at the Sheraton, you could see people sliding through the stop lights. There's at least four or five people that came in. They're like–oh can you put this note on someone's car, we hit their car."
Duluth police say they responded to 65 weather related incidents between9:30 am and 3:30 pm.
