Weather damages Duluth Lakewalk

DULUTH - Rain and strong winds damaged Duluth's Lakewalk Thursday afternoon.

Strong winds and waves lifted large safety boulders from the side of the walkway behind the Comfort Suites Hotel in Canal Park.  The boulders were used to keep materials in place forming a solid foundation for the boardwalk.

The Lakewalk remains open, but the city asked the public to use caution when walking in the area until repairs are made.
